Why should I pay for a shareholders or partnership agreement and new articles of association? Because if you don’t have a properly drafted agreement that sets out what happens if a party wishes to leave, either on good or bad terms, and deals with the valuation of their share of the business in either circumstance, the stress, heart ache and legal costs of dealing with the problems after the event simply dwarf the costs of instructing us to draft the right agreement whilst everyone is on good terms.
