David Harris OBE, TD, DL, LLB
David studied law at King’s College, London before returning “home”. His roots are in business and farming. An equity member of HSRLaw for over 30 years, he is now the firm’s senior partner.

Originally a general practitioner (as with most lawyers in the late 60’s/early 70’s) David increasingly specialised in agricultural, commercial property and company/commercial work. David sat as a Court Registrar (now know as a District Judge) in the early 80’s before being promoted to command his TA battalion for which he was awarded an OBE: he was a parliamentary candidate at the 74 and 79 general elections.

David has a high net worth client base investing largely in the super prime market including London. His clients include locally based businesses, foreign based investors and some high profile celebrities. David is actively involved leading complex high value transactions, working with the rest of the Corporate and Real Estate Team.

David remains one of Yorkshire’s leading lawyers in the specialist field of agri-business.

David takes pride in passing on his knowledge to HSR’s next generation of solicitors. In all his work, David is totally supported by his hugely capable PA, Chrissie, and by the legal teams around him.
