Peter Vickers
Peter Vickers was bom in Gainsborough and was raised in the village of Lea. He was educated at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School (as it then was) and on leaving school became articled in the town as well as undertaking formal legal education at law schools both in Guilford and Liverpool. Eventually Peter became a Partner (in due course, senior partner) in a local practice before joining Hayes Son and Richmond in the mid 1980s. He is based at the Ship Court offices in Gainsborough.  Peter continues to serve his loyal following of clients dealing mainly with non-contentious work including domestic conveyancing, Wills, Probate, Tax Planning and associated matters. In 2006 he semi-retired to become a consultant with the firm but continues to be very busy in his field of work.

Alongside his legal career Peter has always been involved in local organisations. During his younger days he was a member of the local Round Table Club and in later years became a member of the local Rotary Club. Music has always interested Peter. As a boy he was a member of Lea Church choir (his father was the choir master). He was for some years a member of the local Operatic Society and for the last twenty years or so has been a keen member of the Gainsborough Choral Society. Peter has also tried to help other local organisations giving time to the Friends of the Old Hall Association, the Civic Society and the Gainsborough and District Heritage Association to name but a few.

Peter is a family man with two married daughters. To date he has one granddaughter who he describes as the "apple of his eye."
